RARE GII-6 PITTSBURGH BEADED SIDE EAGLE FLASK

ITEM 6870. EAGLE - CORNUCOPIA, (McK# GII-6), greenish aquamarine, pontil scar, pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint flask exhibiting some minor wear at the high points. Blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House, C. 1825, rare.

Although catalogued as "scarce" by McKearin it has been our experience that the GII-6 is in fact a rare flask and this is one of just a few examples we have had the pleasure of offering. As with every other GII-6 that we have encountered, the flask has an overall pebbly texture but it retains good overall mold clarity.
