SCARCE gII-38 DYOTTVILLE EGALE FLASK

ITEM 6860. EAGLE - "DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS / PHILADA," (McK# GII-38), deep bluish aquamarine, early smooth base, pint, crudely sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Blown at the Dyottville Glass Works, Philadelphia, PA, C. 1865, scarce.

This scarcely encountered Dyottville flask is a superior example of its type that exhibits the best possible mold detailing. The flask's appeal is further enhanced by its deeper than normal color and the many tiny bubbles percolating about the body of the piece.
