ORANGE GXIII-35 WESTFORD SHEAF OF WHEAT PINT - UNUSUAL COLOR!

ITEM 6856. SHEAF OF WHEAT - "WESTFORD GLASS CO / WESTFORD / CONN", (McK# GXIII-35), bright, clear orange amber, early smooth base, pint, applied double collar, a mint flask with a somewhat weakened impression. Westford Glass Works, Westford, CT, 1860-1873.

It is this Westford made flask's dramatic color that makes it one to own. Decidedly more orange than amber, the glass passes light evenly from top to bottom, revealing a myriad of seedy bubbles. There is no wear at the high points and the glossy exterior surface exhibits pleasing glass whittle.
