olive green gii-62 willington pint with amber striations

ITEM 6852. "LIBERTY" / EAGLE - "WILLINGTON / GLASS, CO / WEST, WILLINGTON / CONN" HISTORICAL FLASKS, (McK# GII-62), clear, bright olive green with amber striations, smooth base, pint, applied sloping collar, mint. Blown at the Willington Glass Works, West Willington, CT, 1860-1873.

Although it is the sinewy string of amber glass in the shoulder that "makes" this flask one should not overlook the lighter than normal color and preponderance of seedy bubbles. In addition, there is no wear at the high points and the glass surface retains its brilliant original luster.
