ITEM 6846. FREEBLOWN HANDLED
CHILD'S MUG, deep aquamarine, cylindrical with applied solid
glass handle, pontil scar, 3 ½"H, sheared and fire
polished rim, as blown with a firing flaw across the base of
the handle. American, probably blown at a Western New York State
Glass House, 1830-1850, rare form.
This attractively formed mug was created with a particularly
heavy gather of glass, resulting in an object of good heft and
notable presence.
