ITEM 6817. COLOGNE BOTTLE, amethyst
with profuse teal green and sapphire blue streaking, polygonal,
early smooth base, 4 1/16"H, tooled mouth, about mint (some
wear at the high points). American, probably blown at the Boston
and Sandwich Glass Works, Sandwich, MA, 1860-1888, unique color.
This startlingly beautiful Sandwich cologne is unlikely any we
have encountered previously. Sadly, my photographs don't fully
capture the dramatic shading of color but rest assured, this
is not a piece that will disappoint.
