aquamarine, rectangular with concave beveled edges, pontil scar,
7 "H, flared lip and expanded mouth, an undamaged bottle
exhibiting some minor exterior wear. American, C. 1830, a scarce
bottle that is rarely found without some degree of lip damage.
Of the few undamaged Dr. Gordak bottles that we have encountered
this is the example with the strongest embossed lettering. The
bottle's wide mouth, concave beveled edges and delicately flared
lip make it unique among bottles in the pontiled medicine category.
The bottle's construction and finely embossed lettering are suggestive
of a very early manufacture date.
