pristine
perfect stoddard umbrella ink
ITEM 6605. UMBRELLA INK, golden
amber, octagonal, pontil scar, 2 ¼"H, inwardly rolled
mouth, mint. New England, probably blown at a Stoddard Glass
Works, Stoddard, NH, C. 1850.
This handsome, attic quality ink is a fresh find from an Addison
County home. Definitely New England and quite likely Stoddard
in origin, the bottle passes light with ease and retains it original
brilliant exterior luster.
