ITEM 6603. "JOHN / MOFFAT - PRICE $1.00 - PHOENIX / BITTERS - NEW YORK", (Ring# M112), pale moss green, rectangular with beveled edges, pontil scar, 5 5/8"H, applied sloping collar, about mint (minor exterior wear and a skin-deep 1/8" base edge flake). American, 1830-1850, rare color.

We are pleased to again offer this exceptional example of a Phoenix Bitters. As previously catalogued the bottle is blown in a rare, pale color and it remains the only example of its type that we have encountered. The embossed lettering is dramatically stronger than most and the glass is filled with a myriad of seedy bubbles.
