STAND, aquamarine, pontil scar, 3 1/8"H, sheared and tooled
mouth, mint. American, 1830-1850, unique. Ex. Corning Museum
of Glass.
This unique ball and stand is undoubtedly a child's toy and it
is a remarkable survivor. Definitely of mid-nineteenth century
American manufacture, the piece has the look and feel of having
been blown in either New York or New Jersey.
