ITEM 6557. PAIR OF PRESSED LACY
GLASS CONDLESTICKS, clear flint glass, lacy socket number one
wafered to pressed four-step square base, pontil scars, 5 ¼"H,
as constructed with typical base edge roughness and crazing.
Blown at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works, Sandwich, MA, 1828-1835.
Identical fragments dug on the site of the Boston and Sandwich
Glass Works offer conclusive proof that these candlesticks were
blown there. This pair is fresh to the market from a Vermont
home and they are superb examples with no post-manufacture damage.
