ITEM 6450. PATTERN MOLDED FLASK,
bright golden yellow with an olive cast, 24 vertical ribs, 4
1/2"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint flask exhibiting
the expected usage wear. Blown at a Midwestern Glass House, 1820-1840.
This superb little flask is to my eye the very prettiest of the
five half-pint Ohio pocket flasks carefully assembled by a longtime
collector. Chosen specifically for mold impression, form and
brilliance of color, each of the five flasks is decidedly different
and the group as a whole is magnificent. Priced individually,
I would still really prefer to sell the group as a whole and
will work with prospective buyers to make that possible. Each
of the flasks is individually GREAT but it is the collection
as a whole that makes the strongest visual statement.
