/ BITTERS - PATENTED / 1862," (Ring #D105), light to medium
pinkish copper, six-log cabin, smooth base, 10"H, applied
sloping collar, a mint bottle retaining some washable content
residue. American, 1865-1875.
Recently liberated from an old time closet collection, this fine
Drakes has not previously been part of the "bottle world."
The bottle is an obvious house or attic find with some interior
residue that would clean in a jiffy. Primarily "copper"
with strong pink tones, the bottle's color is light to medium
in density, passing light evenly from top to bottom. The embossed
lettering is noticeably stronger than most and there is no wear
or damage of any kind.
