WESTERN NEW YORK STATE FREEBLOWN DEEP BOWL
ITEM 6239. FREEBLOWN DEEP BOWL,
deep bluish aquamarine window glass, tubular pontil scar, 6 ¾"H
x 12 ¼"D, outwardly folded rim, mint. American, probably
blown at a Western New York State Glass Works, 1840-1860.
This SPECTACULAR blown glass pan is of the type that is typically
attributed to the Redwood or Redford Glass Works. The clean,
brilliant metal is deeply colored and the form of the piece is
exquisitely rendered.
