MINIATURE
NEW ENGLAND GLOBULAR BOTTLE - GREAT FORM!
ITEM 6203. MINIATURE GLOBULAR
BOTTLE, olive yellow, pontil scar, 3 7/8"H, applied mouth,
mint. New England, probably blown at a Connecticut Glass Works,
1790-1820, rare.
This delightfully crude little bottle is blown from a seedy batch
of metal with numerous impurities. The elongated form marks the
piece as "different" and in fact, it is quite unlike
any miniature New England we have previously encountered.
