HUGE STRAW YELLOW NEW ENGLAND CHESTNUT FLASK

ITEM 6181. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, pale straw yellow, pontil scar, 8 3/8"H, crudely applied mouth, mint. Blown at a New England Glass Works, 1790-1820.

Pale in color and perfectly formed, this wide-mouthed chestnut bottle is an appealing example with good size. The bottle is of the type that most collectors think of as Connecticut in origin. There is every possibility that it was blown in the Eighteenth century.
