YEllow new england chestnut flask - great size!

ITEM 6096. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, pale olive yellow, pontil scar, 5 ¾"H, crudely applied mouth, mint. Blown at a New England Glass Works, 1790-1820.

Since they are not terribly uncommon, the "trick" to collecting chestnut bottles is separating the good from better from best. And, as anyone who owns a group of chestnuts will immediately realize, this 5 ¾" beauty easily falls into the category of "the best." Fresh from a Florida (!) estate, this wonderful little bottle has survived the past two hundred years with no damage and nary a scuff mark.
