ITEM 6055. BLOWN THREE MOLD DECANTER,
(McK# GIII-16), clear olive green, cylindrical, tubular pontil
scar, pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint, barn found
bottle in need of a bath. Blown at the Keene Glass Works, Keene,
NH 1820-1840.
Recently discovered in the recesses
of a New England barn, this lightly colored and crisply impressed
Keene decanter still retains a healthy coating of dust and grime.
Although it is terribly tempting for me to clean these freshly
found bottles, I have learned to leave that thrill up to the
next owner. With a little bit of elbow grease this bottle will
really sparkle!
