SUPERB GIII-23 BLOWN THREE MOLD FLIP GLASS - SCARCE!

 

ITEM 6052. BLOWN THREE MOLD FLIP GLASS, (McK# GIII-22), clear flint glass, pontil scar, 5 7/8""H, sheared and fire polished rim, mint. American, 1820-1840, scarce. This generously sized flip glass is the first I have owned blown in a mold from McKearin's group three and it's a dandy. More substantial than most flips, the vessel was created from a heavy gather of glass and it fits beautifully in the hand. The mold impression is superb, as is the balance of weight. ON HOLD
