ITEM 6049. WHALE OIL LAMP, clear
flint glass, blown-molded font attached with a three-ringed wafer
to a square, stepped pressed base, pontil scar, 7 1/8"H,
tooled mouth with original two-wicked burner marked "Patent",
a mint lamp with some base edge roughness as is typical of the
pressing process. American, 1820-1840.
This attractive lamp is a fresh
find from a Brandon, Vermont home that retains its original burner.
