ITEM 6041. FREEBLOWN CREAMER,
greenish aquamarine, bulbous body with applied solid glass handle,
pontil scar, 4 1/16"H, sheared and fire polished rim with
pour spout, a mint creamer exhibiting the expected usage wear.
American, probably blown at New York State Glass House, 1830-1850.
This chunky little creamer is a textbook example of good, honest
19th century blown glass tableware. The piece is artfully constructed
(check out the extra fancy rigaree!) and perfectly balanced.
I love it!
