SUPERB ASSEMBLED PAIR OF 24RIB ZANESVILLE GLOBULAR BOTTLES

 

 ITEM 6016. PATTERN MOLDED GLOBULAR BOTTLE, deep amber, 24 ribs swirled to the left, pontil scar, 7 3/8"H, outwardly folded mouth, a mint bottle exhibiting the expected usage wear. Midwestern, probably blown at the Zanesville Glass Works, Zanesville, OH, 1820-1840, rare size. Ex. Jack Whistance.

ITEM 6031. PATTERN MOLDED GLOBULAR BOTTLE, light, bright yellow amber, 24 ribs swirled to the right, pontil scar, 9 3/8"H, outwardly folded mouth, a mint bottle exhibiting the expected usage wear. Midwestern, probably blown at the Zanesville Glass Works, Zanesville, OH, 1820-1840, rare size.

 

These spectacular bottles are not only startlingly different in size and color but also ribbed in different directions.
