ITEM 5931. MASTER INK, apricot,
three-piece mold cylinder, smooth base, 9 ¾"H, applied
sloping collar with ring and hand-tooled pour spout, mint. American,
probably blown at a Baltimore Glass Works, C. 1870.
Kudos to the lucky collector who first stumbles upon this posting
and has the wherewithal to "pull the trigger." Priced
significantly under the money, this unusual master ink came to
me right and so it shall be sold. The bottle is not a true puce
but rather simply "apricot," much like what you will
sometimes see in the pricy Baltimore flasks. It is a dandy to
be sure and a GREAT window bottle.
SOLD!
