ITEM 5780. BLOWN-THREE-MOLD WINE,
(McK# GII-19), clear flint glass, semi-barrel shaped bowl with
applied bladed knop stem and circular foot, pontil scar, 3 ¾"H,
sheared and fire polished rim, mint. American, probably blown
at the Boston and Sanwich Glass Works, Sandwich, MA, 1820-1840,
rare.
Considerably rarer and unquestionably more beautiful than those
blown-three-mold wines blown with a conical bowl, this exquisitely
formed piece of tableware is a prime example of its type.
