ITEM 5767. FREEBLOWN COMPOTE,
clear flint glass, circular bowl with hollow stem and applied
folded rim foot, pontil scar, 3 5/8"H x 6"D, a mint
compote with a pinhead-sized spot of rim roughness. American,
possibly blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House, 1820-1840.
Clearly the work of a master gaffer, this delightful little compote
is blown from a delicate batch of high grade flinty metal.
