ITEM 5736. "T.J. DUNBAR & CO. - CORDIAL / SCHNAPPS - SCHIEDAM," clear olive amber, generally square with beveled edges and two convex panels, early smooth base, 9 ¾"H, applied sloping collar with ring, mint. New England, 1855-1865, rare.

I have been chasing after this particular bottle for nearly a decade and although I have seen one or two others since I first uncovered this example, neither could match the eye appeal of this spectacular bottle. Passing light evenly from stem to stern, this is the only bottle I know of blown in a mold with two convex panels (no, they are not simply overblown) and it is to my eye one of the top New England schnapps bottles. Don't hesitate on this one - it took me an awfully long time to acquire this bottle and I am sure that the next owner will hang onto it tightly. You simply will not find a better example of this truly RARE New England bottle!!
