ITEM 5675. PATTERN MOLDED PITCHER,
clear flint glass, 8 ribs swirled to the right, pear-shaped body
with applied circular foot and applied solid glass handle, polished
pontil scar, 8 ¾"H, tooled mouth with exaggerated
pour spout, a crack across the base of the handle is most likely
a manufacturer's flaw. Blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House,
1840-1860, rare.
This well-executed pattern molded pitcher is blown from high-grade
metal and it is obviously the work of a talented gaffer.
