ITEM 5671. DRINKING VESSEL, aquamarine,
conical bowl with applied circular foot, pontil scar, 4 ¾"H,
sheared and tooled rim, mint. American, probably blown at a Midwestern
Glass House, 1820-1840. ex. Crawford Wettlauffer Collection.
Although the McKearins attribute a similar (but smaller) drinking
vessel to Lake Dunmore, it is our belief that this particular
object was manufactured in the Midwest. In either case, it is
an attractive and well-made utilitarian vessel blown from a high
grade of bottle glass.
