ITEM 5664. MINIATURE HANDLED
JUG, aquamarine, globular with applied solid glass handle and
applied crimped foot, pontil scar, 3 1/8"H, about mint (missing
handle curl). American, probably blown at a Southern New Jersey
Glass House, 1830-1860.
Although we have bought and sold about half-a-dozen of these
delightful little jugs over the years, this is the first we have
seen or heard of with a crimped foot. As noted, this piece is
missing the end of the rigaree but it still displays well and
it is a superb piece of period miniature South Jersey glass.
