ITEM 5432. "WEEKS - MAGIC - COMPOUND - ST. JOHNSBURY, VT.," brilliant aquamarine, rectangular with indented panels, early smooth base, 7 ½"H, applied sloping collar, mint. American, C. 1865, rare.

Appearing as if it should be pontiled, this early and hard-to-find Vermont medicine bottle is as good an example as we have encountered. The bottle is boldly embossed and appears as if it was an "attic" find as there is no damage and no high point wear whatsoever. Don't bother waiting for the next pontiled example to come to market, as there are to my knowledge only one or two in existence. And, with the last pontiled example selling for $1600 plus, you can get the same look at a fraction of the price!
