ITEM 5429. FREEBLOWN PITCHER,
aquamarine, globular body with superimposed Type 1 lily pad decoration,
applied handle with heavy medial rib and applied circular foot,
tubular pontil scar, 6 ¾"H, tooled mouth with pour
spout, missing handle rigaree. American, probably blown at a
New Jersey Glass House, C. 1840.
Obviously the work of a master gaffer, this beautifully formed
pitcher is truly a stupendous example of 19th century folk art
