ITEM 5426. PILLAR MOLDED PITCHER, clear flint glass, applied solid glass handle, ground pontil scar, 8" H, hand-tooled mouth with pour spout, mint. American, probably blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House, 1820-1840, scarce.

Abnormally heavy yet gracefully formed, this attractive "riverboat" pitcher is a particularly appealing example of pillar molding.
