clear flint glass, applied solid glass handle, ground pontil
scar, 8" H, hand-tooled mouth with pour spout, mint. American,
probably blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House, 1820-1840,
Abnormally heavy yet gracefully formed, this attractive "riverboat"
pitcher is a particularly appealing example of pillar molding.
