PITTSBURGH PATTERN MOLDED HANDLED CRUET WITH ORIGINAL STOPPER - CLEAR WITH STRONG GRAYISH TINT

 

ITEM 5420. PATTERN MOLDED HANDLED CRUET WITH MATCHING PATTERN MOLDED HOLLOW STOPPER, clear with strong grayish tint, 18 vertical ribs, bulbous body with applied hollow handle, pontil scar, 8" H, tooled mouth with pour spout, mint. Probably blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass Works, Pittsburgh, PA, 1800-1840.

It is this cruet's graceful form and original stopper that make it a particularly appealing example of its type.
