ITEM 5125. "A.M. BININGER &
CO. / NO. 375 BROADWAY", gingerale yellow, square with beveled
edges, smooth base, 10" H, applied sloping collar, about
mint (three pinhead-sized body flakes). American, C. 1865, rare
color.
In all of colors in which 19th century bottles were blown, "gingerale
yellow" is arguably the most attractive and certainly among
the scarcest. Bininger bottles blown in this shade of color are
quite rare and this bright, bubbly example is as fine a specimen
as the collector is likely to find.
