ITEM 5110. FANCY CATHEDRAL PICKLE
JAR, bright medium green, square with fancy cathedral arches
and crosshatching in three of four panels, early smooth base,
11 1/2" H, crude hand-tooled single collar mouth with some
manufacturer's roughness, about mint (pinhead-sized body flake).
American, possibly blown at the Crowleytown Glass Works, Crowleytown,
NJ, C.1850, rare color for this form.
Definitely "green" and NOT a shade of deep aquamarine,
this exceptional jar would stand tall even in the most advanced
of collections.
