ITEM 5031. BLOWN THREE MOLD HAT, (McK# GIII-23), deep cobalt blue, tubular pontil scar, 2 3/8"H, inwardly folded rim, mint. American, probably blown at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, Sandwich, Massachusetts, 1825-1835, scarce, ex. William Elsholz Collection, ex. Corning Museum Collection. Exhibited at the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1953.

Provenance alone tells you all you need to know about this truly exceptional blown three mold hat. You will NOT find a better example of this mold in this form and color!!!!!!
