NEW YORK STATE FREEBLOWN DEEP BOWL - C. 1840

ITEM 4284. FREEBLOWN DEEP BOWL, aquamarine, cylindrical, tubular pontil scar, 5 3/4"H x 6 ¾" at the widest point, outwardly folded rim, a mint bowl exhibiting the expected usage wear. Probably blown at a New York State Glass Works, 1840-1860, deaccessioned by the Corning Museum of Glass.

This soulful deep bowl shows generous signs of wear indicative of its utility in a 19th century kitchen or pantry.
