ITEM 3992. COLOGNE BOTTLE, fiery opalescent
milk glass, 12-sided, smooth base, 7 5/8"H, tooled mouth,
mint. American, probably blown at the Boston and Sandwich Glass
Works, Sandwich, MA, C. 1870, ex. Charles B. Gardner collection.
Boy, Charlie knew how to pick 'em, didn't he?! In room lighting
this fine cologne bottle elicits only murmurs of "hey, that's
nice" but when held to the light or displayed in a sunny
window shouts of "Holy $%@#" fill the room. It looks
like there is a pink light inside of the bottle!
