ITEM 3916. BLOWN THREE MOLD DECANTER,
(McK# GIII-16), yellow amber with an olive cast, pontil scar,
pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Keene Marlboro Street
Glass Works, Keene, NH, 1820-1840, ex. Vanderbilt collection.
Unusual in that it is more amber than olive, this crisp and crude
Keene Decanter was purchased several years ago at the now legendary
"Vanderbilt" auction. As with most of the bottles sold
that day, this decanter is a perfect, top of the line example
as one would expect of a bottle with the Vanderbilt provenance.
