EXTREMELY RARE SANDWICH THUMBPRINT COLOGNE - DEEP COBALT BLUE WITH PURPLE HIGHLIGHTS

ITEM 3899. COLOGNE BOTTLE, deep cobalt blue with purple highlights, square with molded thumbprint design, smooth base, 9 1/8"H, applied mouth, 7/16" under-collar flake. American, probably blown at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works, Sandwich, MA, 1865-1875, extremely rare.

Were it perfect, this rare and important cologne bottle would fetch thousands of dollars. With that said, the noted flake is of nominal distraction and the bottle remains a BEAUTIFUL example of an almost impossible-to-find cologne.
