BRIGHT OLIVE AMBER BERTINGUIOT INK
ITEM 3766. "BERTINGUIOT" INK,
bright olive amber, cylindrical, pontil scar, 2 1/8"H x
2 7/16"D, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Probably
blown at a New England Glass Works, 1820-1840, scarce.
Though there are those who would argue that this ink is French,
it is the opinion of many (including myself) that the piece was
blown in America for the French Canadian market.
