ITEM 3615. ENGLISH MALLET BOTTLE, golden olive amber, straight-sided cylinder, sand chip pontil scar, 8 3/16"H x 4 3/8"D, crudely applied string rim, some scattered exterior wear and two small, difficult to locate star cracks in the body. Blown at an English Glass House, C. 1740.

Crude, heavy and primarily amber in color, this early mallet is not technically perfect but the noted damage is minor and the piece remains a fine and representative example of its type.
