SUPERIOR STAR SPRING CO PINT - GOLDEN AMBER

 

ITEM 3349. "STAR SPRING CO / (MOTIF OF FIVE-POINTED STAR) / SARATOGA. N. Y.", (Tucker# S-54b), golden amber, cylindrical, smooth base, pint, applied sloping collar with ring, mint. Blown at a Stoddard Glass Works, Stoddard, NH, 1860-1873. This heavily whittled (the vertical "barrel stave" variety) and brightly colored Star Spring pint is a classic example of Stoddard glass and a superior example of its type. SOLD!
