ITEM 3139. "VOLDNER'S - SCHIEDAM
- AROMATIC / SCHNAPPS", clear yellow olive, square, early
smooth base, 10 3/16"H x 3"W, applied sloping collar
with ring, a mint "attic found" bottle retaining a
nearly complete, but only partly readable label. American, 1865-1875,
scarce.
This beautifully crude and extra bubbly Voldner's Schnapps is
a true attic find that retains a good portion of a New Orleans
medicinal label. As shown, the glass passes light with ease and
the piece is topped by an attractively crude applied sloping
collar with ring.
