ITEM 2998. FREEBLOWN FLUID LAMP, aquamarine, bell formed with applied solid glass handle, pontil scar, 6"H x 3 1/4"D, sheared mouth fitted with period brass collar and a twin fluid burner, mint. American, probably blown at a New Jersey or New York State Glass Works, C. 1850, rare.

Though lamps of this type are relatively common in clear glass, aquamarine bottle glass examples are very rare and highly desirable. This superb example is not only perfect but also and exceptionally well formed and beautifully constructed example.
