ITEM 2991. "ESTES - INK - N. Y.", (similar to Covill# 756), rich blue green, octagonal, tubular pontil scar, 6 1/4"H x 2 1/4"D, applied sloping collar, a mint bottle with a pinhead-sized spot of base edge roughness. American, C. 1850, an extremely rare bottle in an unlisted color with a unique mouth treatment.

This fabulous master ink bottle is rarer than a large Farley's or any of the listed blue Harrison's. It is the only example of this ink that we know of in this brilliant shade of blue green bottle glass. If you collect rare masters, this may be your only opportunity to add this exquisite piece of glass to your shelf.
