ITEM 2935. CATHEDRAL PICKLE JAR,
bluish aquamarine, square with fancy cathedral arches, sand chip
pontil scar, 11 1/4"H x 4"W, crudely applied mouth,
mint. Willington Glass Company, West Willington, CT, C. 1850,
scarce.
It is this bottle's extra wide mouth and short neck that make
it a singular example of a Willington pickle. The bottle is mint
without exception and truly as fine a specimen as one could hope
to find.
