ITEM 2934. "HARRISON'S - COLUMBIAN
- INK - PATENT (ON SHOULDER)", brilliant aquamarine, twelve-sided,
tubular pontil scar, 5 3/4"H x 3 1/8"D, applied mouth,
about mint (small bruise in the cover glass of a bean-sized bubble
on the shoulder). American, C. 1850, rare mold variation.
This particular bottle is not listed by Covill and it is a mold
that we have seen (I think) on only one other occasion. The bottle
is bright, clean and shiny with good glass texture and a crudely
applied mouth. And, at nearly six inches in height, the bottle
is an imposing presence on the shelf.
