SCARCE STODDARD SARATOGA STAR SPRING QUART - OLIVE GREEN

 

 

ITEM 2916. "SARATOGA / (MOTIF OF STAR) / SPRING", (Tucker# S-53:a), olive green, cylindrical, smooth base, quart, applied sloping collar with ring, mint. Probably blown at a Stoddard Glass Works, Stoddard, NH, 1860-1872, scarce color.

Far more commonly found in shades of amber, this pure green Saratoga Star Spring quart is a scarce bottle in excellent condition. Bubbles, swirls and impurities abound with several "foam galaxies" adding notably to the bottle's visual appeal.
