ITEM 2850. MASTER INK, DEEP emerald green,
three-piece mold cylinder, early smooth base, 10"H x 3 1/8"D,
applied mouth with pour spout, mint. American, 1865-1875, a very
scarce color for a master ink bottle.
This wonderful master ink bottle is blown in an incredibly deep
shade of emerald green bottle glass and it is perfect in every
way. And, though it is not pontiled, the bottle is certainly
of the "pontil era," probably dating to the mid-1860s.
